Lover of Your Soul

Text:  Proverbs 8: 35-36 “For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul:
all they that hate me love death.”

Introduction: Matthew 22:32 “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”  I have never seen so many “death lovers” in our world. As Veteran’s Day is being observed let us honor the brave men and women who gave their own lives to try and defeat the “death lovers” throughout the world. In this country we have individuals who hate life. They want to spread as much pain and suffering as they can.

Blinded by Satan:  Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” God made man and gave him life and he became a living soul. If Satan can fool an individual to kill as many people as he can who have not accepted Christ and then kill themselves, just think of the people he has kept out of heaven. It is appointed for people to die once and then the judgment.

We Have a Great Responsibility: Ezekiel 33:9Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” We must warn sinners and tell them that God provided a way to save our soul for eternity. This is the best news that you can share with anyone. Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Conclusion: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus is the lover of your soul! Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. That is God’s requirement and He provided Himself a sacrifice for us through His Son.

James 5:20 “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
